| Objectives |
The students understand how gender becomes effective as a structural category and its social, political and scientific implications in regard of their own dissertation topic as well as those of the other participants.

| Subject |
Actual theoretical and methodological approaches in Gender Studies will be presented and discussed in relation to the dissertation topics of the participants.

| Criteria for evaluation |
Presence; reading of all selected articles; presentation of an article in relation to the dissertation topic and written essay.

| Methods |
Reading, lecture, presentation, discussion. The students are invited to do research beforehand and present their results in the first meeting. Personal (electronical) application with dissertation topic (title, major, advisor, 1-page-abstract).
