Objectives For students without a polymer science and technology background the aim is to provide basic knowledge in the field of polymer technologies (Bridge Courses).

For students with a polymer science and technology background, the aim is to provide additional competences and knowledge in the field of management and polymer technologies beyond those lectures covered either in the Polymer Engineering bachelor program or in the modules for "Management Basics" and "Management Advanced" in the master program "Management in Polymer Technologies (MPT)" (Complementary Courses).

Subject Bridge Courses "Basics in Polymer Technologies": This group of courses covers basic engineering and scientific aspects related to chemistry, physics and material science, and processing of plastics.

Complementary Courses "Management and Polymer Technologies": The Complementary Courses consist of two course sub-groups. In the sub-group "Management, Economics and Law" specific aspects of general management and micro-economics (incl. strategic management, marketing, organization, human resource & change management, accounting), economics with a focus on macro-economics, and basic law for engineers are covered. In the sub-group "Polymer Technologies and Science" specific aspects of polymer engineering, polymer physics and science and special topics on chemistry and mathematics are covered.

Further information For the general management courses in the sub-group "Management, Economics and Law", the prior completion of the courses "Management Basics" and "Management Advanced" is required. The approval for participation in these courses is provided by the responsible course sub-group representative.
