Objectives Get in touch with elementary concepts, terms, definitions and assumptions of electrodynamics, understanding the mathematical and logical construction of this theory and how it is applied to specific physical systems.
Subject Maxwell's equations, electrostatics and magnetostatics in vacuum and matter, elektromagnetic waves (emission and scattering), special theory of relativity.
Criteria for evaluation (1) Number of successfully solved problems, (2) quality of presentations/commitment during the excercise course, (3) excercise exams.
Methods Independent solution of problems (alone or in small groups), presentation of solutions during the excercise course.
Language German
Study material will be specified during the lecture/excercise course.
