| Objectives |
(*)Einführung in drahtlose Netzwerke. Der Fokus liegt speziell auf Infrastruktur-Netzwerken, d.h. WLANs (Wireless Local Area Networks) bei denen die gesamte Kommunikation über einen zentralen Knotenpunkt (Access Point) geht.
Hauptziele sind ein allgemeines Verständnis für drahtlose Netzwerke, sowie ein detailierter Einblick in den wichtigsten WLAN Standard IEEE 802.11.

- IEEE 802.11 Funktionalität (Standard und Amendments (a/b/g/n), CSMA/CA, RTS/CTS, Frame-Format und Frame-Types, Management-Funktionen, Ethernet/WLAN Bridging)
- IEEE 802.11 Security (WEP, WPA, WPA2, IEEE 802.1X, EAP)
- Praktischer Teil mit Beispielen speziell zum Thema WLAN Sicherheit im Netzwerk Labor (ca. 4 Einheiten)
