Objectives (*)Education in methods and concepts in Structural Biology with special emphasis on crystallography, electron microscopy and fluorescence spectroscopy of biological samples.
Subject (*)The subject offers an essential course on in vitro cultivation of cell lines as well advanced courses on ultrastructural study of the cell (transmission and scanning electron microscopy), fluorescence spectroscopy in cellular systems, and analytical techniques in X-ray crystallography of biologically important polymers (proteins; nucleic acids).
Further information (*)Insgesamt 22 ECTS aus zwei der drei Wahlfächern müssen absolviert werden, aus jedem aber jeweils mind. 10 ECTS.

A total of 22 ECTS from two of the three biological elective subjects must be taken, with a minimum of 10 ECTS for each.
