Objectives Exercises accompany the lectures to deepen the knowledge obtained in the lecture.
Subject Introduction of the relevant physical properties, measurement techniques, measurement errors and statistical error analysis. Introduction to mechanics with special emphasis on mechanical oscillations and waves, elasticity, basics of materials testing, thermodynamics of gases, acoustics and geometrical and wave optics, polarization, interference, Fourier optics.
Criteria for evaluation 50% written examination, 50% participation in exercise groups
Methods During the exercise the students will be given an opportunity to independently solve exercises on the blackboard and discuss the results with the group.
