Graduates

- master the techniques of academic research and writing in the context of energy and digitalisation studies, in compliance with good scientific practice (including research integrity and open science standards),

- are able to independently formulate research questions, select appropriate methods, and apply them systematically,

- are capable of producing scientific work in the field of Digital Energy Solutions (Master’s thesis, academic paper, or conference contribution), making full use of digital tools and data sources,

- have the competence to critically reflect on scientific results, situate them within the international research landscape, and communicate them appropriately to different audiences.

Skills Knowledge
Graduates can

- conduct structured literature searches in academic databases and correctly apply citation standards (k3),

- formulate research questions and hypotheses, and design a coherent research plan (k6),

- select and apply qualitative and quantitative research methods (e.g. data analysis, case studies, simulations, statistics) for their own projects (k4/k5),

- write structured academic texts in English (abstract, introduction, methodology, results, discussion) in compliance with academic conventions (k3/k4),

- critically evaluate the quality and reliability of scientific sources and research results (k5),

- present their research findings in oral or written form convincingly to academic and professional audiences (k5/k6),

- use digital tools (reference management, data analysis software, Python) to support research processes (k3).

Graduates possess knowledge of

- the principles of good scientific practice, including ethics, plagiarism avoidance, data management, and open access publishing,

- the main stages of the research process (topic selection, literature review, method choice, data collection, analysis, publication),

- fundamental qualitative and quantitative research methodologies,

- digital tools for academic work (reference managers, databases such as Scopus/Web of Science, statistical packages, visualisation tools, Python for data analysis),

- international publication standards (peer review, impact factors, conference formats) and the role of scientific communication in energy, digitalisation, and sustainability.
