(*)Students will develop analytical skills, enabling them to assess and evaluate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria and their impact on investment decisions. They will gain strategic thinking abilities to understand and implement various sustainable financial instruments and strategies, such as green bonds, within organizations. Additionally, students will be equipped with basic risk management skills to identify, assess, and integrate ESG risks into overall risk management frameworks.
Students will also acquire regulatory knowledge, becoming familiar with international and national regulations and standards related to sustainable finance and understand their impact on transparency (reporting) of organizations as well as on financial markets. This knowledge will be crucial for navigating and complying with regulatory requirements and understanding their broader implications.
The course emphasizes practical application through case studies and project presentations, allowing students to apply theoretical concepts to real-world scenarios. They will gain awareness of emerging trends and developments in sustainable finance, preparing them to anticipate and adapt to future changes in the field. Enhanced communication and collaboration skills will enable students to effectively work with peers and stakeholders, contributing to the advancement of sustainable finance practices in various professional settings. Within all topics, a deeper dive into the impact on energy organizations and the energy sector as a whole will be made.
