Students have a sound knowledge of methods for statistical analysis of multivariate data and can use the statistical software R for basic statistical analyses.
Skills Knowledge
  • Understand and interpret the output of repeated measurements ANOVA, and linear mixed models
  • Understand the basic concepts and interpret the results of cluster analysis.
  • Understand methods and interpret results of methods for dimension reduction (PCA, tsne, UMAP)
  • Understand methods and interpret results of gene set enrichment analysis
  • Methods for the analysis of repeatedly measured and panel outcomes
  • Methods for supervised and unsupervised cluster analysis and metrics to evaluate clustering results
  • Principles of methods for dimension reduction
  • Principles of gene set enrichment analysis
Criteria for evaluation Attendance of at least 80 % Students are assessed throughout the course by discussing small homework examples as well as a final presentation.
