Learning Outcomes
Competences
Students will learn hands-on how to practically simulate patient-specific biomedical problems based on differential equations, tailored to the biomedical problem defined by the subtitle.
Skills Knowledge
  • Reconstruction of a computational domain from medical imaging (Slicer3d)
  • Generation of a computational mesh from the reconstructed geometry
  • Identification and tagging of boundaries and subdomains
  • Implementation of the numerical solver in High Performance Computing environment
  • Postprocessing and visualization of the results
Acquaintance with the relevant softwares (Slicer3d for geometry reconstruction, Salome for mesh generation, FEniCS-x for HPC simulation).
