| (*)The students have language skills in a business context in German. In one option they start with level B1.1 and finish with level B2.2 (according to CEFR). In another option they start with level B1.2 and finish with level C1 (according to CEFR).
The first option includes completing the following courses:
KS German Communicative Skills Level B1.1 (3 ECTS)
KS Business German 1 Level B1.2 (3 ECTS)
KS Business German 2 Level B2.1 (3 ECTS)
KS German Business and Culture Level B2.2 (3 ECTS)
The second option includes completing the following courses:
KS Business German 1 Level B1.2 (3 ECTS)
KS Business German 2 Level B2.1 (3 ECTS)
KS German Business and Culture Level B2.2 (3 ECTS)
KS Academic and Business Language German Advanced C1 (3 ECTS)
The entry level for German as a business language is set at A2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). However, if proof of a German level of B2 is provided, the second option starting with the KS Business German 1 Level B1.2 can be selected. A prerequisite for participation in the introductory course is an assessment of the student's language competence before the end of the enrolment period. This assessment must take place as soon as possible and before enrolment, in the form of a personal interview (with a short written part) with the course instructor. Students should therefore contact the instructor in good time to arrange an appointment for their assessment. The assessment can take place online in exceptional cases and is not required if an A2 certificate is submitted, but is strongly recommended even then.
