Competences
Students can design exemplary and representative parts of business and IT architectures of banking platforms using what they have learned in the respective semester and are able to develop associated, exemplary functionalities in groups based on a division of labor. You will implement deconstruction approaches for banks as digital transformation projects (sales bank, control bank, transaction bank). Depending on the seminar, the focus is on banking or digitalization or a balance of both. The seminar is completed during the lecture-free period.
Skills Knowledge
  • Practical work with (global) banking and information platforms for the business areas of a bank (payment transactions, lending business, investments, special transactions)
  • Development of digital transformation projects for selected banking topics based on different technologies (classic software engineering, use of analytical and generative artificial intelligence, low/read/no-code platforms)
  • Analysis of application landscapes, development of development plans, implementation of regulatory requirements, use of AI for the construction, control and management of banking IT
Students know from practical experience the IT systems (platforms) of a bank that are required to process the business transactions of a bank digitally. They know about the differences in business and IT architectures and functionalities in the individual business areas (sales bank, control bank, transaction bank).
