Competences
Students are able to understand the terminology and the essential foundations of business informatics as an applied scientific discipline, to structure the most important functions in companies from the perspective of “people-task-technology” and to combine and supplement them with their professional experience.
Skills Knowledge
  • Familiarity with the essential concepts and theories of business informatics
  • Ability to place current developments in computer science in the context of business informatics (people/tasks/technology) and thus derive action-guiding knowledge, especially in the context of information management
  • Basic knowledge in the areas of information engineering, software engineering, data & knowledge engineering and communications engineering from the perspective of business informatics”
After an introduction to business informatics, students are familiar with the terminology and the main theoretical principles and have an overview of the most important functions of the individual business informatics sub-disciplines in companies.
