Learning Outcomes
Competences
Students know the key terms of banking IT and are able to classify them in the context of business informatics in terms of banking informatics. Furthermore, they know the architectures and functionality of the basic building blocks of a bank's IT landscape as well as the necessary process view.
Skills Knowledge
  • Familiarity with the terminology of banking IT
  • Understanding of the objectives, tasks and functions of banking IT for the individual business areas of a bank
  • Knowledge of the IT application landscape for the individual workplace types in a bank (e.g. front office, middle office, back office, self-service, customer systems) as well as the process view (process automation across the building blocks; collaboration)
After an introduction to banking IT in the context of business informatics, students know the associated terminology and have an overview of the most important components and functions of a bank's IT landscape for its business areas.
