- Students are able to identify (k1) gender-specific and gender-sensitive aspects of a new topic and to select (k4) and evaluate (k5) relevant academic literature in gender studies according to the current state of science.
- Students are able to connect (k4) the topic with gender-specific and gender-sensitive aspects and critically reflect (k5) on it.
- Students are able to produce (k6) a clear, academic text at dissertation level. They use gender-equitable/gender-neutral language and correct citation styles.
- Students are able to interpret (k2) and present (k1) current international gender literature well and comprehensibly by providing sufficient context, writing concisely and using appropriate language. They are able to structure (k4) texts well, identify (k1) overarching gender themes and synthesize (k6) a comprehensive picture of the state of research.

Students are familiar with the current theoretical and empirical approaches in Women's and Gender Studies.

Criteria for evaluation |
Attendance of 80 per cent is mandatory. If requirements concerning attendance cannot be fulfilled, it is not possible to achieve a positive grade. Students must read and discuss the selected literature, present one paper and write a literature review on gender aspects related to the own dissertation topic.
