Competences
Students are able to understand the requirements of a doctoral programme. They are able to draw up a time and work plan for their dissertation project and develop a dissertation expose that meets the requirements of the first dissertation colloquium.

Students are aware of the requirements of the doctoral programme and the necessary framework conditions (k1)
Students are able to develop theoretical and methodological approaches to their research questions (k6)
Students are able to reflect on their planned dissertation project and critically analyse it in the group (k5)
Students are able to draft a dissertation expose for submission to the first dissertation colloquium (k6)
Students are familiar with the requirements of the JKU´s doctoral programme as well as the requirements for preparing a dissertation expose (see course topics ).
