Learning Outcomes
Competences
Students gain in-depth insights into qualitative research methods. They develop the ability to understand, differentiate and design complex qualitative research frameworks. They are capable of systematically analyzing qualitative data using various data analysis methods, as well as interpreting and presenting the results in a well-founded manner.
Skills Knowledge
Students are able to,

  • Understand and contextualize qualitative research methods in the context of their historical development (K1, K2) and develop them for their dissertation project (K6).
  • Create complex qualitative research designs and apply them to their dissertation project (K3, K6).
  • Apply qualitative data analysis methods (K3, K6).
  • Discuss and present the results of qualitative data analysis (K4, K5).
Students are familiar with complex qualitative research designs and data analysis methods and can assess their applicability to dissertation projects.
