Students are able to identify different qualitative research methods and evaluate their potential and applicability. They understand both theoretical-methodological approaches and their application in various practical fields.
Skills Knowledge
Students can,

  • Understand and describe the key characteristics of qualitative methods (K1, K2).
  • Systematically differentiate qualitative research designs, comprehend them methodologically, and independently develop them in the context of their dissertation projects (K1, K2, K6).
  • Create research plans and designs based on sound methodological principles (K6).
  • Select, develop, and apply qualitative data collection instruments in a targeted manner (K3, K6).
Students know, Characteristics and differentiation of qualitative methods; research designs; development of data collection instruments.

Students can evaluate applicability of qualitative methods to their dissertation projects.
