Competences
  • Students will be able to engage in independent and critical reflection on gender and its intersections with other societal factors, evaluating their impact on social structures, policies, and everyday experiences.
  • Students will be capable of utilising gender perspectives as both a methodological and conceptual tool in academic research and professional practice, applying these insights to analyse and interpret complex social issues.
  • Students will develop the ability to advocate for gender-sensitive approaches in policy analysis, social research, and professional settings, contributing to the promotion of equity and inclusivity in various societal domains.
Skills Knowledge
  • (k4) Critically assess the intersections of gender with other social categories such as class, race, and ethnicity using an intersectional perspective.
  • (k5) Apply gender-sensitive analytical frameworks to evaluate policies, social structures, and cultural norms.
  • (k5) Conduct research on gender-related topics, integrating theoretical perspectives with empirical evidence.
  • (k6) Develop and present well-founded arguments on gender and care issues in academic and policy-oriented discussions.
  • In-depth knowledge of gender theories and gender policies, including their historical and contemporary developments.

Criteria for evaluation Active participation during the Intensive Programme and/or in Moodle on-line learning environment, written assignments.
Methods Introductory lectures during Intensive Programme, afterwards on-line learning methods supported by Moodle OR a course organized fully on-line in Moodle learning environment without a face-to-face introduction.
