The objective of the course is to help the new beginners build a solid foundation of the four basic skills--listening, speaking, reading, and writing in an interactive and communicative learning environment through three modules in Canada, Taiwan and Austria.
The emphasis is on correct pronunciation and tones, and mastery of basic vocabulary and grammatical structures in accordance with the Chinese Proficiency Test HSK 1 (equal to the Common European Framework of References for Languages CEF A1).
In addition to the Chinese learning, the students should also get a general idea of Chinese culture and general understanding of Chinese behavior. The relevant topics, independent of the recommendation in the followings, could be selected by the instructors or appointed by the students to their interest.
At the end of three Modules, students who followed the course progress strictly and precisely are supposed to be able to pass HSK 1 (Chinese Proficiency Test) without difficulties.
