(*)+ Students have the ability to critically assess the complex interplay between technology and society, understanding how technological advances both influence and are influenced by social structures, knowledge, and democratic processes.

+They are ableto analyze the societal implications of emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, and evaluate who is included or excluded in the design and deployment of such technologies.

(*)• Analyzing the Interplay Between Technology and Society (k4) Students can critically analyze theoretical and empirical perspectives on how technology and society influence one another, identifying key factors and trends.

• Evaluating the Role of Technology in Knowledge and Democracy (k5). Students are able to evaluate how technology affects the creation, dissemination, and application of knowledge, as well as its implications for democratic processes and expertise.

• Critically Reflecting on the Design and Development of Emerging Technologies (k5)

• Students are able to critically reflect on how future technologies, such as AI, are developed, including the social, ethical, and political factors that influence who is included or excluded in their design.

• Synthesizing Concepts of Technology’s Societal Impact (k6). Students are capable of synthesizing theoretical and practical concepts to form coherent arguments about the impact of technology on society, with a focus on case studies or discussions related to AI.
