+ Students have a sound understanding of processes and intervention options in difficult interpersonal situations (e.g. conflicts).

+ They know basic theories and models of communication and conflict research.

+ They know methods and techniques of prevention and intervention in difficult social situations.

Skills Knowledge
Students are able to,

- name central concepts, theories and models of communication and conflict research (k1)

- explain their significance for selected private and professional contexts (k2)

- describe professional methods and techniques of conflict analysis, prevention and resolution (k1)

- analyze case studies using selected theoretical and methodological concepts of communication and conflict research (k3)

- test concepts in selected situations, analyze them self-reflectively and derive their relevance for their own actions (k4, k5)

Students know

- Central terms, theoretical concepts and models of communication and conflict research

- Models of communication dynamics

- Methods and techniques of prevention and intervention in challenging social situations
