Students are able to understand and discuss the role of psychology for the employer and the employee in the context of everyday work.
Skills Knowledge
• Understand and explain various concepts, theories and current topics in work psychology. (k2)

• Discuss areas of application and current topics in work psychology. (k3)

• Generating solution-focused plans for challenging work situations (e.g.: conflicts) (k3)

• Behaviors, attitudes and emotions of people in a work-related context

• Changing specific research topics, e.g. personnel selection process & personnel development, individual and intercultural differences in the workplace, measurement of work performance, , stress and well-being of employees, leadership, teams and conflict, safety, violence and health in the workplace

Criteria for evaluation
  • Active in-class participation (discussions, quizzes, feedback)
  • Presentation in class
  • Preparation of literature for each session
  • Written essay
