| • LO2: Students are able to work independently on typical topics from the core area of Communications Engineering. They are able to acquire the necessary specialist knowledge in line with the state of the art based on current specialist literature and present the results of their work professionally in writing and orally (K4).
• LO3: Basic techniques of scientific work, namely literature research, structured evaluation of scientific work and presentation of scientific findings are mastered (K4).

LO1: The thematic focus and content of the course are based on current developments and trends in the science and practice of Communications Engineering.

Quality of term paper and presentation; active participation in the discussion and reflection of the seminar topics.

| Methods |
Scientific work in small groups on specific and more in-depth topics and technologies. Presentation, discussion and documentation of the groups’ results.

The required reading focuses on the selected seminar topics. Students are granted access to common Digital Libraries (e.g., ACM, IEEE and SpringerLink), and may also utilize the reference libraries of the Departments of Business Informatics.
