Students can apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired in the basic, core and specialized subjects to solve practical or scientific problems in business informatics and work independently on typical topics in the core area of software engineering.
Skills
Knowledge
Students are able to work independently on typical topics from the core area of software engineering. They are able to acquire the necessary specialized knowledge corresponding to the state of the art on the basis of current technical literature and present the results of their work professionally in writing and orally (K3).
Basic techniques of scientific work, namely literature research, structured evaluation of scientific work and presentation of scientific findings are mastered (K2).
The focus and topics of the seminar are targeted towards actual developments and trends in science and practice of software engineering.
Criteria for evaluation
Quality of the seminar work and of the presentation of the work, as well as the contribution in discussions and reflections of the topics.
Methods
Scientific work in small groups on specific and more in-depth topics and technologies. Presentation, discussion and documentation of the groups’ results.
Language
German/English
