  • They can apply social and political science concepts to examine processes of societal transformation.
  • They can assess the interplay between socio-economic impulses and political regulatory efforts.
Skills Knowledge
  • Analyse exemplary societal transformations, such as technological change, deindustrialisation, or digitalisation, and contextualise their political and societal consequences (k4).
  • Analyse one major transformation process and assess its potential for conflict (k5), for instance:
* Globalisation and migration processes at national and regional levels
* Political and social consequences of major societal events, e.g., public health crises or economic crises
* Political and social consequences of structural changes, such as demographic change, climate change, deindustrialisation, and digitalisation
  • Apply social and political science concepts to concrete examples of societal transformation and justify the results (k4).
  • Theories and concepts for analysing societal transformation processes, e.g., digitalisation, globalisation, or migration.
  • Political and societal responses to transformation processes and major events.
  • Interdependencies between socio-economic impulses and political measures in the context of societal transformation.
