Students can describe the fundamentals of social policy and identify social policy fields of action. They are familiar with welfare state typologies and can contextualise social policy developments at national, European, and global levels.

Understand and explain the fundamental principles of social policy and welfare state typologies. (k1) Comprehend and analyse academic texts. (k2) Formulate a social policy research question. (k3) Produce academic texts. (k3) Analyse social policy fields of action. (k4) Assess welfare state typologies. (k5)	Basic principles of social policy. Knowledge of theoretical approaches to social policy and practices in selected social policy fields.
