After completing the course, students will be able to:

  1. Assess corporate and personnel strategies from a microeconomic perspective and provide well-founded recommendations.
  2. Critically evaluate the use of recruitment, compensation, and promotion systems in a corporate context.
  3. Independently apply models and theoretical concepts to practical challenges in human resource management.
  4. Identify, analyze, and develop solution-oriented approaches to complex issues in personnel economics.
  5. Clearly and precisely communicate their analysis results, using both mathematical and qualitative methods to support their arguments.
Skills Knowledge
After completing the course, students will be able to:

  1. Analyze and critically evaluate mathematically formulated, abstract models in personnel economics.
  2. Apply economic concepts to personnel policy issues such as recruitment, compensation, and career planning.
  3. Analyze the impact of information asymmetries and human capital investments on personnel decisions.
  4. Assess organizational structures and team dynamics from an economic perspective and derive actionable recommendations.
  5. Develop strategies to minimize employee turnover and optimize incentive systems.
After completing the course, students will have:

  1. A deep understanding of economic perspectives on firm organization and personnel policy.
  2. Knowledge of incentive effects in recruitment systems, compensation models, promotion, and career systems.
  3. An understanding of the impact of asymmetric information and investments in both general and firm-specific human capital.
  4. Familiarity with concepts such as employee turnover, organizational structures, and the use of teams.
  5. A foundational understanding of mathematical models for analyzing personnel and organizational decisions.
