Competences
The courses SE Methoden für Statistische Projekte and SE Statistische Projekte form an inseparable didactic unit. The learning outcomes described below are achieved through the interaction of the two courses:

Students are able to independently acquire knowledge and insights from the literature in a specific field of applied statistics and data analysis and to pass on the knowledge they have acquired. Students are able to answer detailed questions on the subject matter in technical language.

  • Knowing the techniques for scientific writing and independent processing of a statistical question (k1,k2,k3)
  • Applying presentation techniques (k2,k3)
  • Using the statistics software R (k1)
  • Reading, understanding and critically reflecting on scientific literature on a given in-depth topic from the field of applied statistics and data analysis (k2,k4,k5)
  • Writing a scientifically correct seminar report on a topic (k2,k4,k5,k6)
