The course promotes students' understanding of the political process and the economic opportunities associated with the European Union.	Students acquire knowledge in the following areas: Europe as a single market? – The economic dynamics of the European integration process A social model of Europe? The Lisbon Strategy and the 2020 process A Europe of citizens' rights? – The Charter of Fundamental Rights and the fight against discrimination A European cultural and educational area? – Standardization (Bologna) vs. differentiation
