Competences
The course provides an insight into the diverse theories of intercultural communication and enables students to compare the different approaches. Students deal with questions of cultural identity and its influence on social relationships and recognize how these are reflected in the communicative norms of a society, e.g. in negotiation situations or in conflict behavior.
Skills Knowledge
The course promotes intercultural understanding and the students' ability to interact with representatives of other cultures. The students can recognize and pluralize cultural identities; they recognize their influence on social relationships and understand how these are reflected in the communicative norms of a society, e.g. in negotiation situations or in conflict behavior.
Criteria for evaluation (*)schriftliche und mündliche Arbeiten, Abschlussarbeit, Mitarbeit, kontinuierliche Leistungsbeurteilung.
