Students will be able to: a) critically analyze economic, social and environmental historical structures, processes and practices; b) reflect on the economic, social and environmental historical background of current problem areas.
Skills Knowledge
Students will be able to: a) formulate economic, social and environmental historical questions; b) explain sources, methods and theories of economic, social and environmental history; c) research, interpret and link specialist knowledge of economic, social and environmental history; d) contextualize current topics of public discourse in terms of economic, social and environmental history. Students are familiar with the historical characteristics and developmental trajectories of different economic systems (feudalism, industrial capitalism, real socialism, etc.), social relations (classes, genders, ethnic groups, etc.) and natural conditions (land use, energy regimes, consumption styles, etc.).
Criteria for evaluation Depending on the mode of delivery: performance immanent to the examination (participation in the discussion as well as oral and written contributions) or written final examination.
