  • LO2: Students can explain the functioning of individual financial market players in the context of the financial market as a whole.

  • LO7: Students can explain the differences between different types of shares and share categorizations.
  • LO10: Students can explain the term “derivative financial instruments”.
Beurteilungskriterien (*)Students can achieve a total of 25 points in this course in a written examination (final and/or post-examination).

The exam must be positive in order to complete the course. At least 12.5 points are required for a positive completion of the course. The distribution of grades is as follows:

LO1 - LO11: written exam

The questions and tasks in the exam are at the taxonomy levels of knowledge, understanding, application, analysis and evaluation. Students should be able to explain various concepts (taxonomy levels knowledge and understanding in the context of the exam), should be able to use selected instruments and concepts correctly on the basis of selected questions and should be able to apply the acquired knowledge independently on the basis of business management, practice-relevant questions (taxonomy level application or transfer and analysis).

Lehrmethoden (*)The following teaching methods are used to achieve the learning objectives:

  • Information input (structured lecture) by the course instructor supported by appropriate media (set of slides, scientific articles). There is a continuous reference to the teaching materials used in the course and the selected scientific articles through constant reference to the literature during the lecture.
  • Video: In individual course elements, students are provided with references to relevant video contributions (YouTube) that allow them to delve deeper into the topic. These videos vary each semester or are updated on an ongoing basis.
  • Homework or smaller project tasks, which are discussed in the next teaching unit.
