Students are able to apply the theoretical principles learned in the associated lecture course by means of practical exercises in the laboratory.
Skills Knowledge
Specifically, they can

  • create models for various manufacturing tasks, evaluate them using simulation software and analyze and assess the results
  • understand the influence of process variables on manufacturing tasks by means of guided exercises, e.g. tests with standard test workpieces (k3, k4)
  • recognize and understand possible applications of modern machine tools (k2, k3).
  • modern manufacturing machines and processes
  • mathematical models of manufacturing machines and processes, simulation, evaluation
  • special aspects such as e.g.: influence of process variables on the manufacturing result, dynamic behavior of machine tools in practice
