Students are able to assess and evaluate the challenges of modern product development and their requirements for the relevant IT systems. They are familiar with the methods and concepts of process design and project management and can describe the building blocks of an IT-supported development process and assign them to each other. Furthermore, they know the different information technologies for supporting product development, as well as the methods and systems for product structuring, modeling, data management and evaluation. In particular, they also know the methodological approaches to object-oriented product modeling.
