Competences
Students have hands-on experience in handling of RF components and measurement equipment required for the development of radar systems. They can implement different radar concepts and apply them to real-world measurements; They can verify radar theory results by means of measurements and implement radar signal processing algorithms in Python.

Characterization of typical RF components used in radar systems (k3, k4, k5) Automation of RF measurement equipment (GPIB, SCPI, ...) (k2, k3) Practical implementation of FSCW, FMCW, and range-Doppler radar systems (k2, k3, k4, k5, k6)	System modelling, noise analysis, influence of practical hardware imperfections DFT based signal processing algorithms in Python, including two-dimensional analysis for range-Doppler and beamforming applications
