Students are able to convincingly describe and carry out a research project with a scope of 3 to 4 months of (semi)-empirical laboratory work in monograph or cumulative paper form and to present and defend it orally.

to solve a polymeric materials and testing related research problem (k3), to define (k1) and carry out (k3) an experimental testing programme, to operate the necessary machines and evaluation algorithms (k3), to generate and evaluate data (k3), to identify and derive structure/property/processing/performance relationships (k4) and to assess a research hypothesis (k5)
