1. Systematic Process Planning (k4): Students are able to structure the workflow of process design in injection moulding and select relevant parameters based on material and process requirements.

2. Material and Process Evaluation (k4): Students can analyse and evaluate the impact of material properties on plasticizing processes, mould filling operations, and thermal process management.

1. Development of a structured workflow for the design of an injection moulding process (k3)

2. Selection of an appropriate injection moulding machine for a defined product (k3)

3. Selection and adjustment of plasticizing parameters to ensure optimal melt quality (k3)

4. Conducting simple analyses or simulations to assess the impact of process parameters on the mould filling process (k4)

5. Adjusting temperature control based on material properties and process requirements (k3)

6. Analysis and identification of errors such as uneven filling or material degradation in the process (k4)

This course is held either in German or English in consultation with the students. At least, lecture notes or book recommendations will be provided in German and English. The examination can be taken in either German or English.
