Learning Outcomes
Competences
Students can set up simple electric circuits on a breadboard and analyze them by measurements.
Skills Knowledge
The students can

  • set up a voltage divider and compare the measured values with theoretical values (k3, k4)
  • determine the maximum power point of a solar cell experimentally (k3)
  • set up the circuit for measuring the charge curve of a capacitor and compare the measured values with theoretical values (k3,k4)
  • set up a low-pass filter and compare the measured values with theoretical values (k3,k4)
  • practically demonstrate energy storage in a capacitor using a light-emitting diode (k3)
  • Basic concepts and quantities of electrical engineering (charge, current, voltage, potential, resistance, capacitance, inductance, sources, power, energy,...)
  • Ohm's law and Kirchhoff's circuit laws
  • Transformer
  • Analysis of AC circuits
