Skills Knowledge
  • Get familiar with a scientific topic in an independent way (K2, K4, K5)
  • Do independent literature research (K4, K5)
  • Critically evaluate existing approaches in the area of the seminar topic and possibly suggest alternative solutions (K4, K5, K6)
  • Write a seminar report according to scientific standards (K6)
  • Give a presentation and defend it (K6)
  • Discuss the presentations of other participants (K3, K5)
The knowledge has to be acquired by independent literature research and own considerations.
Criteria for evaluation Seminars are marked by assessing the seminar report, the presentation, and the participation in discussions.
Methods Independent literature research; submission of a written seminar report; presentation of the chosen seminar topic in a talk to other students.

Study material Basic literature is provided by the seminar instructor, but students should also do independent literature research.
