Competences
Students are able to develop mobile apps using state-of-the-art mobile technologies, mobile platforms, operating systems, and application frameworks. Furthermore, students have background knowledge on wireless networks, location awareness, and mobile sensor systems.

  • Design and develop mobile apps with Java/Kotlin on Android platforms or equivalent languages and platforms (k5, k6)
  • Apply knowledge about wireless technologies such as Wi-Fi, BT/BLE, 5G, GPS/Galileo, mobile sensors (k2, k3)

Criteria for evaluation Grading is based on the active participation in the theory part, handing in reports and giving presentations, and the final delivery of the group project work.
Methods The course combines a lecture part where interactive participation is ensured by discussions, small exercises, and reports that need to be handed in, and a practical, project-oriented part where students develop a mobile app in groups of 1-3 students and present their results.
