Selected foundations, state of the art and research outputs in the domain of application-oriented knowledge processing. Among others in

  • knowledge representation
  • software architecture for knowledge processing systems
  • security aspects in knowledge bases
Criteria for evaluation Oral exam at the end of the semester and the quality of the project.
Methods Slide presentations, discussions, a small project (mostly literature research) including a presentation.

Study material PDF-versions of the slides used in the lecture will be made available via KUSSS. Additional literature will be announced via KUSSS during the semester.

Further information This lecture is a combined course. It has a lecture part where selected foundations, state of the art and current research outputs are taught and an exercise part where the students have to investigate and research a particular topic in the frame of application-oriented knowledge processing, and then present the results to the whole class.
