| (*)Students acquire the ability to write various types of academic texts in English (B2 – C2) and to hold short as well as extensive presentations in front of an expert audience.

(*)Students of science and technology are made familiar with the specifics of academic writing in English. The structure of a scientific paper, appropriate formal vocabulary, and writing styles are practiced. Formal writing practices such as the logical organization of a paragraph or the paraphrasing and citing of text sources are integral components of writing workshops and homework exercises. Regular peer reviews of academic articles further consolidate awareness of specialized vocabulary and certain writing styles. The essential basics for presentations and discussions in an academic context are taught and applied.
