  • understand the basic mathematical models of electromagnetics;
  • formulate and discuss main results about existence and uniqueness of solutions;
  • formulate appropriate discretization methods for the resulting systems of differential equations;
  • assess the stability, accuracy and computational costs of the discretization schemes;
  • implement the proposed methods on a computer and verify their behavior;
  • study efficient solvers for linear and nonlinear systems arising in electromagnetics.
