Kompetenzen
(*)Students will independently design and execute experiments and theoretical work in soft matter physics, enhancing their ability to analyze results critically and integrate feedback and literature into their research. This course will provide students with the essential skills needed to complete their MSc thesis project in the Division of Soft Matter Physics.
Fertigkeiten Kenntnisse
(*)Upon completing the course, students will possess the following skills. They are able to

  • apply complex experimental and theoretical techniques in soft matter physics (k3);
  • analyze soft matter samples accurately using advanced instruments (k4);
  • develop problem-solving skills through critical evaluation of experimental outcomes (k5);
  • communicate research findings effectively and engage in scientific discussions (k6).
(*)During the course, students will gain hands-on experience in characterizing soft matter systems. They will discuss and finalize their specific topics with the supervisor before the practical course begins.
Beurteilungskriterien (*)Performance will be assessed based on their ability to effectively plan, conduct and analyze experiments and theoretical work in soft matter physics. The quality, accuracy of results and their skill in clearly discussing and documenting findings will also be evaluated.
Lehrmethoden (*)Students are carrying out advanced experiments in the research labs of the Division of Soft Matter Physics.
