Learning Outcomes
Competences
After completing this seminar, students will be able to engage in discussions about their MSc or PhD research in soft matter physics with both supervisors and peers. They will present their research findings clearly and effectively, and actively use feedback from these discussions to make significant improvements to their research projects.
Skills Knowledge
Upon completing the course, students will possess the following skills. They are able to

  • explain their research methods, results and challenges clearly (k2);
  • engage in discussions to enhance their research strategies (k5);
  • provide, receive and implement feedback to refine their work (k6).
During the course, students will deepen their knowledge of current research techniques in soft matter physics relevant to their MSc or PhD thesis projects.
Criteria for evaluation Students will be evaluated on the clarity and depth of their presentations, as well as their active participation in discussions.
Methods The seminar will include student presentations on their thesis research, as well as detailed discussions with the supervisor and peers to advance their research projects.
