Competences |
Upon successful completion of the course, students are able to independently engage with and comprehend scientific literature in both German and English. They have prepared and delivered their own presentation, developing a confident presentation style and the ability to communicate key content in a structured manner. Additionally, they are able to answer scientific questions about their own presentation and formulate targeted questions about the presentations of others.

Upon completing the course, students learn the following skills. They are able to
- understand and critically evaluate scientific literature (k4/k5);
- plan and prepare a presentation in English (k6);
- present the topic clearly using modern presentation methods (k5/k6);
- actively participate in scientific discussions following their own presentation (and the presentations of other students) (k4/k5).

Students acquire knowledge of current research topics and methods in the field of nanoscience and nanotechnology. Students choose a topic from a range of suggestions in consultation with the seminar instructors.

The seminar is intended for Master and PhD students interested in up to date topics in the field of nanoscience and nanotechnology. It is also suited for Bachelor students.
