(*)More specifically, upon completion of the course, they will be able to:
• Determine molar mass and distribution of polymers (k2, k3, k4, k5)
• Quantify analytes at trace level using chromatography hyphenated with mass spectrometry (k2, k3, k4, k5)
• Apply high resolution mass spectrometry to biomolecules (k2, k3, k4, k5)
• Determine a peptide sequence using NMR (k2, k3, k4, k5)
• Report their results in a protocol in a scientific writing style (k4, k5)
|
(*)The course is divided into five consecutive sections with the following experiments:
• Analysis of polyolefins by gel permeation chromatography
• Lipidomics
• High resolution mass spectrometry of peptides
• Determination of artificial sweeteners and caffeine in energy drinks by HPLC-QqQ
• Nuclear Magnetic Resonance - identification and assignment of unknown peptide
