Learning Outcomes
Competences
Students will be able to understand the basic principles of organic stereochemistry, stereoselective synthesis, and the analysis of chiral organic compounds

Skills Knowledge
More specifically, upon completion of the course they will be able to - identify stereoisomers and assign the relative and absolute configuration of organic compounds (k2, k3, k4) - carry out conformational analysis of organic compounds (k3, k4, k5) - identify suited analytical methods for the analysis of chiral organic compounds (k3, k4) - propose methods for the resolution of racemic mixtures of enantiomers (k3, k5) - understand the underlying basic concepts, mechanism and strategies to carry out stereoselective syntheses (k4, k5) Underlying concepts and details of - Chirality, stereoisomerism, configuration - Conformational analysis - Analytics of chiral compounds - Resolution of enantiomers - Asymmetric synthesis
