(*)Students will understand and be able to apply, and explain: • current topics from the fields of computational biochemistry and structural biochemistry • analyses, evaluate and present state of the art research literature to an interdisciplinary audience

(*)More specifically, upon completion of the course they will be able to: • study, understand and present state-of-the art topics from the current literature in the field (k2,k5,k6) • discuss new developments and their fundamental background in the field (k3,k4,k5) (*)Underlying concepts and mechanistic details of • Computational Biochemistry: various computational methods to understand biological processes at the molecular and atomistic levels • development of new biological regulators and advancements in areas like drug discovery. • Structural Biochemistry: elucidating biomolecular structures, from global molecular architectures to the spatial arrangement of individual atoms. • how to analyse state of the art research papers and present to peers
